Kibera Slum, Nairobi, Kenya 2012

New Project, 2012 at Kibera Slum, Nairobi Kenya

In the fall of 2012 the Heal the Kids Project has teamed up with artist Enoch Tee to go into one of the worst slums in Africa. The infamous Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Kenya is home to 1.5 million people crammed together into a small area.

The team will provide art workshops and mentoring where the kids will learn developmental skills in art, painting and creative thinking. Countless kids in this slum have never even held a paintbrush in their hands. The Heal the Kids passion is for the kids living in the slums of Kibera to see beyond their surroundings and to hope, be inspired and encouraged with the power to believe in a brighter future, despite how dark things could seem.
